Lumanair Aviation boasts one of the Midwest's oldest flight training operations, with a variety of modern Cessna training aircraft and a staff of full-time professional FAA Certified flight instructors. Our flight instructor and aircraft rental rates are very competitive.

Learning to fly is not an inexpensive hobby.
Lumanair has a couple of cost cutting programs which you can partake if you so desire. We offer "block-time" accounts which can Save you up to 5% off of the rental rate of the aircraft.  For more information please consult with a Lumanair instructor. Associated with obtaining most FAA flight certificates is a written exam. Lumanair offers computerized onsite testing. These tests can be scheduled at your convenience.

When you start your flight training, there are materials which you will need to purchase to accomplish your training. Lumanair offers the industry's leading training supplies: they are available in our pilot shop. In addition to training supplies our pilot shop also sells a variety of other items including headsets, fuel testers, IFR and VFR navigation charts and much more!

Lumanair is a full service fixed base operator with full time FAA certified mechanics available for aircraft services, sales, and maintenance. All aircraft maintenance is done on site.

Interested in obtaining an Associate degree in Aviation?
It's possible at Lumanair. We coordinate our flight training with Waubonsee Community College. You can earn up to 18 credit hours for completing your Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Multi-Engine ratings.
